Well, after another stay in the hospital, two weeks ago, and one week coming off of the meds and general recuperation, things are starting to look back to normal.
The worst part of the hospital, other than being sick, is the constant poking, prodding, and being woken in the middle of the night. First it’s the nursing staff with more meds, then two hours later it’s vitals. Then the 4 AM blood draw. Finally, after a few hours of sleep, the doctor strolls in at 8 AM and cheerfully says “so, you’re sleeping in today?”. Yeah doc, it’s my day off. Thought I’d lie around all day and do nothing.
Though, to be fair, food and help at the push of a button. Hours of lounging reading or watching tv. And all the coffee I could care to drink. I guess it’s somewhat of a stay-cation.
